Jesus didn't ask us to carry someone else's cross. He told us to carry our own. We don't get to choose our crosses. We just get to choose to obey, to follow, to pick it up, focus our eyes on him, and press on.

Working on book about Peter & including an insight from @BethMooreLPM about the "disciple Jesus loves." Jesus tells Peter he's going to die. Peter quickly turns to the disciple Jesus loves and says "What about him?" In the words of Aslan, "No one is told any story but their own."
