The Incarnation shows us that God became like us: the Resurrection shows us that we will become like Him.
The gospel is the story of God writing himself into the drama of human history to slay the dragon and rob the grave. Through his birth, sacrifice, and resurrection, Jesus is able to offer hope for those who long for the death of death. In the first Adam, the human narrative sunk into a tragedy. In the second Adam, it blossomed into a comedy. Thus, the resurrection established an objective basis for human optimism and human flourishing. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
