Three for the World

Three for the World posts are quick updates you can read in a few minutes to learn more about what God is doing around the world.

This week, we invite you to pray for Emmanuel Oluwayemi (formerly known as Ogunyemi) in Nigeria. In 2001, Emmanuel and his wife, Blessing, founded Life Builders Ministries International, a faith-based organization dedicated to serving orphans and widows holistically.

Emmanuel formerly served as a professor, academic dean, and vice president for Academic Affairs at West Africa Theological Seminary. With the support of Scholar Leaders, he earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Below are some recent praises and ongoing prayer needs. Please join us in lifting them to the Lord.

Praise God for:

  • His protection over all of us at Life Builders Ministries International. We especially thank Him for deliverance from a recent accident.

  • The good health of our orphans and staff.

  • His provision for our daily needs, especially the feeding and care of the Boko Haram orphans living on our campus.

Please pray for:

  • Increased funding to rescue more orphans from Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria. We’ve raised only 10% of the funds needed to rescue 100 children this year.

  • God’s protection as the security situation in Nigeria continues to worsen. We depend daily on His covering.

  • Our laptop drive for students at Life Builders Academy. We need 100 fairly used laptops to help our children become computer literate. It costs $120 to get fairly used, low cost laptops.

  • My visa’s approval, which has been delayed for over a year. This delay has prevented me from traveling to the USA this spring – for the first time in many years. Please pray for a positive outcome soon.

Thanks for standing with us in prayer.
