So much of our lives are spent trying to impress people who don’t notice. The reason they won’t notice, likely, is that they are busy trying to impress others who won’t notice them. We are always reaching for some level we haven’t yet attained, trying to attract the attention of those who are further along than us.
Have you’ve heard of the lost stories of Jesus? They have been lost for two-thousand years. They’re not some top secret, conspiracy theory, half-baked, collection of pseudo historical teachings of the Christ. The lost stories of Jesus are three parables he told about lost things to illustrate the heart of God.
There are so many great things I can say about the seminary I graduated from. I loved my professors and my classes. But as many before me have stated, there are certain things you can’t learn in seminary. One of them is how to love sheep.
